What’s included

What you get

Everything in scope, from catalogue planning to a live store taking orders.

01Start

Store strategy

Platform choice, catalogue structure and the buying journey.

Read more +Show less −

Store strategy is the planning stage where we choose your platform, structure your catalogue and map how customers will find and buy products. You get a platform recommendation, a catalogue plan and a fixed quote for the build. It usually takes 1–2 weeks.

What you get

  • Platform recommendation: Shopify, WooCommerce or headless
  • Catalogue plan with categories, variants and filters
  • Map of the buying journey from search to checkout
  • List of integrations needed for stock, shipping and accounts
  • Fixed, itemised quote for design and build

How it works

  1. We learn your products, customers and how orders flow today
  2. We review your current store and data if you have one
  3. We compare platforms against your needs and budget
  4. You approve the plan and the fixed quote

Good to know: Share an export of your current products early, as catalogue size and variants often decide the right platform.

02Design

Store design

Product, category and checkout pages designed to convert.

Read more +Show less −

Store design covers the product, category and checkout pages, designed for mobile first because that is where most shoppers browse. You get a clickable Figma prototype of every key page to approve before the build starts. Design usually takes 2–4 weeks.

What you get

  • Clickable Figma prototype of every key store page
  • Mobile and desktop layouts for each page
  • Product page design with images, variants and reviews
  • Short, clear checkout flow design
  • Design system of colours, type and components

How it works

  1. We review your brand and stores your customers already use
  2. We design key pages and share them for feedback
  3. You test the prototype on your own phone
  4. You sign off the designs before the build starts

Good to know: Good product photos make more difference than any layout, so plan a shoot early if your images are inconsistent.

03Build

Store build

Shopify, WooCommerce or a custom headless store.

Read more +Show less −

Store build is the development of your shop on Shopify, WooCommerce or a custom headless setup with Next.js. You get a fast, mobile-friendly store with search and filters that help customers find products quickly. We build in two-week sprints, each ending with a live demo.

What you get

  • Working store on your chosen platform or headless setup
  • Product search with filters by size, colour or price
  • Product, category, basket and checkout pages built from the designs
  • Page speed checked with Lighthouse on mobile
  • Admin set up so your team can manage products
  • Short training session for your team

How it works

  1. We set up the platform and accounts in your name
  2. We build pages and features sprint by sprint
  3. Demo every two weeks on a test store
  4. Order and speed tests before launch

Good to know: Your store, theme and app accounts are created in your name, so you keep full control of them from day one.

04Build

Payments & operations

Payments, shipping, tax and sync with your stock system.

Read more +Show less −

Payments and operations set up how your store takes money, charges VAT, ships orders and keeps stock in step with your other systems. We configure payment options such as Stripe, PayPal, Klarna and Apple Pay, plus shipping zones and tax rules for UK and EU sales. Stock and orders sync with your ERP or stock system automatically.

What you get

  • Payment options set up and tested, including Apple Pay
  • UK VAT, EU tax and multi-currency settings
  • Shipping zones, rates and carrier connections
  • Stock and order sync with your ERP or stock system
  • Order and invoice sync with your accounting tool
  • Test orders run through every payment and shipping option

How it works

  1. We list your payment, shipping and tax rules
  2. We connect payment providers and carriers in test mode
  3. We set up and test stock and order sync
  4. Live test orders before launch, then refunds

Good to know: Open your payment provider accounts early, as identity and business checks can take several days.

05Launch

Launch & growth

Migration, tracking and a safe launch with redirects.

Read more +Show less −

Launch and growth moves your products, customers and orders to the new store, sets up tracking and switches over without losing search rankings. You get a full data migration, GA4 analytics and redirects from every old URL. After launch, we keep improving the store under a support plan if you choose one.

What you get

  • Migration of products, customers and past orders
  • Redirect from every old URL to its new page
  • GA4 tracking of views, baskets and purchases
  • Email marketing connection, for example Klaviyo
  • Launch checklist covering orders, payments, speed and tracking
  • Monitoring for the first weeks after launch

How it works

  1. Trial migration on a test store, checked with you
  2. Final migration and redirect checks
  3. Launch at a quiet time with the team on hand
  4. Review of sales and tracking data after launch

Good to know: Avoid launching just before a busy sales period, such as Black Friday, so any issues can be fixed calmly.

FAQ

E-commerce development questions

How long does an e-commerce site take?

Most of our online stores launch in 6–14 weeks, depending on product range, integrations and any custom features.

Shopify, WooCommerce or custom?

Shopify suits most retailers. Headless or custom builds suit complex B2B pricing, very large catalogues or unusual checkout needs. We recommend based on your requirements.

What is headless commerce?

A setup where the shop front end, often Next.js, is separate from the commerce engine such as Shopify. It allows faster pages and full design freedom.

Can you migrate our existing store?

Yes. We move products, customers and orders, keep URLs or set redirects, and protect your search rankings during the switch.

Can you connect stock, ERP and accounting?

Yes. We integrate with tools like Xero, Linnworks and your ERP so stock, orders and invoices sync automatically.

Will the store handle UK VAT and EU sales?

Yes. We configure VAT, multi-currency, shipping zones and compliant cookie consent for UK and EU customers.

Who owns the code?

You do. All IP is assigned to you in the contract, and the code, accounts and documentation are yours from the first sprint.
