What’s included

What you get

Everything in scope, from first workshop to launch.

01Start

Data audit

Map where your data lives and what is missing.

Read more +Show less −

A data audit maps every place your business data lives, how reliable it is and what is missing to answer your key questions. You get a clear map of sources and gaps, usually within the first 1–2 weeks. It shows what you can report on now and what needs fixing first.

What you get

  • Map of data sources: CRM, accounting, spreadsheets, apps and APIs
  • List of the business questions and KPIs you need answered
  • Quality check for duplicates, gaps and conflicting numbers
  • Gap list showing missing or unreliable data
  • Data brief with recommended next steps

How it works

  1. Agree the decisions and questions the data must support
  2. Get access to each source and review samples
  3. Check data quality and record the gaps
  4. Present the data brief and agree priorities

Good to know: Start with three to five questions that drive real decisions, because dashboards built around questions get used.

02Build

Pipelines

Automated data flows into one place.

Read more +Show less −

Pipelines are automated data flows that pull data from your tools into one warehouse and keep it up to date. You get connectors built with tools such as Airbyte, models in dbt and a warehouse such as BigQuery, Snowflake or PostgreSQL in your own cloud account. Data refreshes on a schedule, often daily or hourly, instead of being copied by hand.

What you get

  • Automated connectors for each agreed source, such as HubSpot or Xero
  • Data warehouse set up in your own cloud account
  • Cleaned, tested data models in dbt
  • Scheduled refreshes with alerts if a load fails
  • Role-based access with UK or EU hosting

How it works

  1. Design the data model around your agreed questions
  2. Connect sources and load raw data into the warehouse
  3. Clean and model the data, with automated tests
  4. Schedule refreshes and alerts, with a demo every sprint

Good to know: Check API access early, because some older tools limit exports and that can change the plan.

03Build

Dashboards

Live dashboards for the numbers that matter.

Read more +Show less −

Dashboards show the numbers that matter to your business, live and in one place. You usually see a first working dashboard within 2–4 weeks, then it grows sprint by sprint. We build in Power BI, Looker Studio or Metabase, chosen to fit your budget and your existing Microsoft or Google tools.

What you get

  • Agreed KPI definitions written in plain language
  • Live dashboards for leadership and each team
  • Filters by date, region, product or team
  • Numbers checked against your own records before launch
  • Scheduled email reports where useful

How it works

  1. Agree the KPIs and how each one is calculated
  2. Sketch the layout and review it with you
  3. Build the dashboard and check numbers against your records
  4. Roll out to your team and refine from feedback

Good to know: Agreeing one definition for each KPI, such as what counts as an active customer, avoids most later disputes.

04Build

Tracking

Product and event tracking set up correctly.

Read more +Show less −

Tracking sets up product and website analytics so you know what users actually do, from first visit to sign-up or purchase. You get a written tracking plan and events set up correctly in GA4, PostHog or Segment, with consent handled for UK and EU GDPR. Every event is tested before launch, so the numbers are reliable from day one.

What you get

  • Tracking plan listing every event and its details
  • Events set up in GA4, PostHog or Segment
  • Cookie consent configured for UK and EU GDPR
  • Conversion funnels for your key journeys
  • Tests confirming each event fires correctly

How it works

  1. Agree the journeys and actions worth measuring
  2. Write the tracking plan and review it with you
  3. Add events and consent to your site or app
  4. Test every event, then send the data to your warehouse

Good to know: Track fewer events well rather than everything badly, as a short, named list is easier to trust.

05Launch

Handover

Docs and training so your team can use it.

Read more +Show less −

Handover makes sure your team can use, trust and maintain the data setup without relying on us. You get written docs, recorded training sessions and a clear guide to every dashboard and KPI, usually in the final 1–2 weeks of the project. Support for fresh data, fixes and new reports is available after launch.

What you get

  • Documentation of sources, pipelines and data models
  • KPI glossary explaining each number and how it is calculated
  • Training sessions for dashboard users, recorded for later
  • Admin guide for adding users and fixing failed loads
  • All accounts, code and dashboards in your name

How it works

  1. Write the docs as we build, not at the end
  2. Train users on the dashboards they will use
  3. Train admins on refreshes, access and common fixes
  4. Agree an optional support plan for after launch

Good to know: Name one person on your side as the data owner, as it keeps definitions and access under control.

FAQ

Data & analytics questions

What does a data analytics project involve?

Connecting your sources, cleaning and modelling the data in a warehouse, then building dashboards that answer agreed business questions.

Which tools do you use?

Power BI, Looker Studio or Metabase for dashboards, and BigQuery, Snowflake or PostgreSQL for warehousing, chosen for your budget and existing Microsoft or Google stack.

How long until we see a first dashboard?

Usually within 2–4 weeks for a first working dashboard, then we expand it sprint by sprint.

Can you combine data from spreadsheets, CRM and accounting?

Yes. We automate data pulls from tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Xero and Shopify, and from spreadsheets, so reports update themselves.

Is our data kept secure?

Yes. Data stays in your own cloud account, with role-based access and UK or EU hosting, under a data processing agreement.

Who owns the code?

You do. All IP is assigned to you in the contract, and the code, accounts and documentation are yours from the first sprint.
